Classroom Feud Game
This game I made up is called Classroom Feud. I named this game after the game show Family Feud. It is similar but different at the same time! I like this game because it can be used for any grade level and for any content area. The teacher will make a set of questions based on the materials the class has been covering. I think the best time to play this game would be before a test. The class will divide into two teams and sit together on separate sides of the room. One person from each team will come forward and the teacher will give them each a squeaky toy. The teacher will ask a question and the first to squeak will answer first. Whoever gets the first question right wins the right for their team to go first. The teacher will then ask that group a question and they have ten seconds to whisper together and come up with a unanimous answer. The first team member will give this answer. If the team is correct they win a point, but if they are incorrect, the question goes to the other team. This game should take about a class period to play. I think this game is a great review and keeps the students engaged. I think it also teaches them good teamwork skills! My aunt teaches 9th grade Science and is going to let me come in tomorrow and try it out on her class, since I don't have a class of my own! I'll post how it goes tomorrow afternoon!
